The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) is a place where we can understand the things happening in our world today from a scientific point of view and have discussions while considering the future that awaits us. The permanent exhibitions provide visitors with a chance to have experiences with science and technology. Miraikan’s venues include the Symbol Zone with the world’s first large-scale display of the Earth, “Geo-Cosmos,” suspended overhead as well as space where reception events with a capacity for 500 people can be held; the Miraikan Hall with a capacity of 300; and an approximately 1,500-squaremeter exhibition zone with no pillars. Miraikan is equipped with facilities that can be used for a range of purposes, such as international conferences, academic conferences, presentations and assorted events.
