The 42nd Tokyo Motor Show 2011 is coming home to Tokyo after 24 years

In 2011, the Tokyo Motor Show will make a return to within the city limits for the first time in 24 years.

The Tokyo Motor Show is the largest auto-related event in Japan, held once every two years. Until now, it has been held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture. In 2011, the Motor Show will be held at Tokyo Big Sight for ten days from Friday, December 2 to Sunday, December 11 (open to the public from Saturday, December 3). The public entry to the Motor Show will be three days shorter than the previous show in 2009. The shorter time frame was decided in order to make it easier for domestic and overseas exhibitors to take part in the Motor Show. In addition, in the same way as in 2009, the show period covers two weekends—a move that is designed to attract as many visitors as possible.
