25th Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF 2010) to be held at Tokyo Big Sight

The 25th Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF2010) is one of the three major trade fairs in the global machine tool industry. Organized by the Japan Machine Tool Builders’ Association and Tokyo Big Sight Inc., this year it will be held over a six-day period from Thursday, October 28, to Tuesday, November 2, at Tokyo Big Sight.

At JIMTOF2010 exhibitors will be introducing various new products and technologies in a wide range of product areas, including machine tools, metal forming machine tools, machine tool accessories and testing machinery, high speed steel tools, cemented carbide tools, optical measuring instruments, precision measuring machines and instruments, and controller and related software (CAD/CAM). This year it is expected that a total of 573 companies from 19 countries and regions around the world will attend the fair.

JIMTOF has been held biennially since 1962 and has gained a reputation as a fair where visitors can gain the latest information on various products utilized in the manufacturing industry. This year it is anticipated that visitor numbers from around the world will reach 140, 000.
