Another Japanese ramen restaurant got Michelin star
The Michelin Guide has announced its Tokyo star rankings for 2017. The biggest and pleasant surprise was that another ramen restaurant “Nakiryu” has received a star following the ramen restaurant “Tsuta” awarded last year.
The Japanese capital continues to outshine any other city on the planet — the number of restaurants awarded with stars (227 in all), the total of stars they hold between them (305) or the number of prestigious three-star designations (12) — Tokyo remains unrivaled for the tenth year in a row.
Tokyo - top from rank 15 last year in Conde Nast Traveler’s 2016 survey.
Luxury travel and lifestyle magazine Condé Nast Traveler named Tokyo as a World’s Top City in its annual Readers' Choice Awards 2016 survey, where readers cast more than 100,000 votes for their favorite cities in the world.
Condé Nast Tokyo Office said, “Tokyo is a mix of contradictions from ultramodern or neon-lit skyscrapers to tranquil temples, historic shrines, and expansive forests. A center for innovation, this Japanese capital has more Michelin stars than any other place on earth, and is, no surprise, one of the world’s best food destinations.”
