Cool Stars 23 to Attract 600 Participants from 30 Countries to Tokyo
The Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau(TCVB) is delighted to announce that Tokyo has placed the winning bid to host Cool Stars 23 on March 14-19, 2026 at TOC Ariake Convention Hall. The conference is expected to attract approximately 600 participants from 30 countries.
Cool Stars is a conference where leading researchers from around the world gather to present research on cool stars. This will be the first time Cool Stars has been held outside of Europe and North America and the first Asian gathering. Japan's recent contributions to the field of cool stars, and increasing interest from young Japanese researchers were large factors in the bid win and financial and in-kind support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and TCVB were also instrumental. TCVB also provided its expertise in support of the bidding committee and will provide comprehensive support to bring the even to a successful conclusion.
