Conference of Asia-Pacific Chapter of Extracorporeal Life Support Organization Set to Attract 600 Delegates to Tokyo
Business Events Tokyo is delighted to announce that Tokyo has secured the winning bid for the 2026 Conference of Asia-Pacific Chapter of Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (AP-ELSO 2026). The conference will be held from June 12 to 14, 2026 at Hamamatsucho Convention Hall and is expected to attract 600 delegates for a productive discussion on the latest research in extracorporeal life support.
The meeting will be hosted by the Asia Pacific Chapter of the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization who conduct original research and delivers education and guidelines for those working in the field. The Asia Pacific Chapter had a preliminary meeting in Melbourne in 2012 and has since gone from strength to strength with many ELSO centers of excellence throughout the region. This is the second time AP-ELSO has come to Japan after the 2015 meeting in Kyoto. Tokyo was deemed an ideal conference destination due to Japan's strong background in ELSO and Tokyo's excellent track record as an academic hub across medical fields. Significant in-kind and financial support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) and the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau (TCVB) was also instrumental in the destination decision.
The convening of AP-ELSO 2026 in Tokyo will bring about a significant impact on academia and clinical fields both within Japan and the wider region. The business events team will continue to support the event's organization to realize the most rewarding gathering possible.
