The Conde Nast Traveler's 2021 Survey Announced Tokyo the Best City in the World
Conde Nast Traveler, a luxury travel and lifestyle magazine, named Tokyo as World's Top City in its annual Readers' Choice Awards 2021 survey.
Having been ranked 6th in last year's survey, Tokyo has made an outstanding achievement to make a comeback and be featured top again. In the survey, readers cast more than 800,000 votes for their favorite cities in the world.
The Readers' Choice Awards is the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry. The results of the 34th annual survey reflect places the readers longed to visit while they were held back from traveling and the ones they wished to return first once they could travel.
The magazine presents Tokyo as "... the best city, that continues to thrill with its contradictions: ultra-modern, neon skyscrapers and tranquil temples, unmatchable street style and centuries-old etiquette.
