The Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau (TCVB) is delighted to announce that Tokyo has placed the winning bid to host the International College of Neuropsychopharmacology (CINP) World Congress on May 23-26, 2024. It will be the second time the meeting will be held in Japan and will attract over 2,500 participants, including 1,500 specialists, from about 50 countries to the Tokyo International Forum.
The annual CINP World Congress held in major cities around the world provides a forum to present the latest findings in the field of neuropsychopharmacology and allows the world's leading scientists and clinicians from all backgrounds to exchange ideas and information. Its program is among the highest quality scientific programs in this field and includes plenary lectures, cutting-edge scientific symposia, poster sessions, and educational and scientific workshops.
The deciding factors for Tokyo winning the bid were the Japanese Society of Neuropsychopharmacology (JSNP) 's long-standing and active contributions to the organization's mission and the solid proposal made by the Japan Bid Committee. The Committee was highly motivated to secure hosting rights and is committed to holding a successful World Congress 2024, in close collaboration with JSNP, the Japanese Society of Clinical Neuropsychopharmacology (JSCNP), and the Asian College of Neuropsychopharmacology (AsCNP).
This resounding success regarding the CINP 2024 bid process would never have been possible without the strong leadership and steadfast commitment of the Japan Bid Committee, its chair Prof. Kazutaka Ikeda, and all of its members. The TCVB also played a significant role, bringing its considerable experience to bear to support the Japan Bid Committee prepare its bid proposal and presentation materials. Finally, a generous subsidy from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) to provide financial and in-kind support for the Congress was essential in the decision.
The convening of this Congress in Tokyo - the center of academic activities of many research-oriented societies - will undoubtedly significantly impact academia in Japan. The TMG and the TCVB will continue to offer their support to deliver a successful and unforgettable CINP Congress in Tokyo.
