	TCVB provided support to a large-sized incentive group from China In accordance with the 5-day group tour visiting Tokyo, the capital of Japan by a large-sized incentive group of 940 participants from China at the beginning of June 2016, Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau (TCVB) provided support to the tour for its success from the preparation stage such as the site inspection to select the best unique venues to the warm welcome at the airport, arrangements for party entertainments and complimentary gifts. "Asakusa Hanayashiki", the oldest amusement park in Japan with a history of more than 160 years, was wholly reserved for their Welcome Party. Four popular mascots, Yuru-chara, joined the party to entertain the guests with dancing and playing games. Participants could take photos of mascots during the intervals between each performance, which satisfied the participants enormously. On the final day, the Gala Dinner was held at the banquet hall "Orion" of the Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo, where the guests were welcomed by ladies in Kimono at the entrance of the hall and many of them were taking the group photo with attractive ladies. At the beginning of the dinner, the traditional Awaodori dancing team, consisting of 40 dancers, made their appearance from the back door and kept on dancing through the entire banquet hall toward the stage, which allowed all participants to see the dancers closely and get more excited from the opening. Furthermore, the female idol group also arranged by TCVB showed up on the stage to sing the company song of the incentive group with special choreographic setting, which could add a touch of charm representing Modern Japan to the event. The group organizers highly evaluated the long-standing support of TCVB and related organizations, emphasizing that the "participants' level of satisfaction went far beyond expectations and we appreciated the Business Events Team for their help to make this event a great success". _____________________ Yuru-chara - is a Japanese term for a category of mascot characters; usually created to promote a place or region, event, organization or business.




	New International Conference Hall in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games Area to be opened on July 8, 2016. BMW Group will open the new brand-experiencing distribution base "BMW Group Tokyo Bay" in Odaiba, Tokyo on July 8, 2016. This complex facility has "BMW Group Tokyo Bay International Conference Hall", the gem of the facility with full utilization of available IT technologies, which is equipped with an interpretation booth as well. This 300 sq. meter conference hall with 4.5m high ceiling accommodating 237 people with theater-style is expected to be in high demand for the meetings, exhibitions and other business events in Tokyo. 	GRAND PACIFIC LE DAIBA to be re-branded as Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba Okura Nikko Hotel Management Co., Ltd. will rebrand the GRAND PACIFIC LE DAIBA as Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba, a luxury hotel located in Tokyo's Odaiba waterfront district, as of July 1. The 30-story hotel is only 20 minutes by car from Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) and boasts panoramic bayfront views of many iconic landmarks in downtown Tokyo. While in operation, the hotel will receive a number of upgrades leading up to 2020. Tokyo Tops Again in Monocle's New Quality of Life Top 25 Cities Survey

Tokyo was named the top City, followed by Berlin, Vienna and Copenhagen in Monocle's 2016 New Quality of Life Top 25 Cities Survey.
The survey focused on nocturnal delights, from sunset sports to the public-transport system, restaurants to late-night shopping.

Monocle magazine stated: "The city of 13 million nurtures a balance of hi-tech efficiency and traditional neighbourhood values - and it's a combination that wins the Japanese capital the top spot for a second year running."
