Business Events Tokyo Hosts 20 Meeting Planners for an Exciting FAM Trip in the Enchanting City of Tokyo

16 Oct 2024 NEWS

Business Events Tokyo is proud to announce the successful implementation of two exciting fam trips in Tokyo. We invited 20 overseas meeting planners from the APAC region to experience two bespoke trip itineraries from September 2 to 6 and 9 to 13, 2024 so they could learn about Tokyo's latest cultural programs, meeting facilities and other premium business event offerings. All programs were carefully selected for their potential for memorable corporate meetings or incentive travel events.

The first fam trip, themed Pop Culture, Trends and Area-wide attractions, included tours of Kabukicho Tower, RED°TOKYO TOWER (Tokyo's leading e-sports facility), the Tsukishima Monja Street and a relaxing trip to Mt Takao, in Tokyo's Tama region to experience Tokyo's abundant nature and take part in a sacred temple ceremony, adding an element of wellness to the proceedings. The group also visited Kanda Myojin Shrine, one of our most atmospheric unique venues with a rich history.

Team-building was also incorporated with the Japanese cooking class delivered by professional instructors receiving high ratings from all participants.

The second fam trip, themed Trendy & Traditional, had participants visit the visually stunning teamLab Borderless, Tokyo's leading digital art museum which opened in February this year. Other highlights included cultural experiences such as a tea ceremony at Happo-en, wind chime painting, a cruise of the Sumida River and a visit to Hanayashiki, one of our unique venues and the oldest amusement park in Japan.

Participants also had the chance to try on Yukata, a traditional Japanese garment, enhancing the theme of tradition while exploring the city.
