	Dear planners, organizers, and business partners,

	As new COVID-19 cases drastically declined across the country, the Japanese government has eased the attendance cap for large-scale events. The maximum capacity is set to 10,000 attendees from December if an infection prevention plan is implemented. Furthermore, a full venue capacity is allowed if the "vaccine/test package system," where the audience shows a vaccine certificate or a negative test result upon entry, is implemented at the venue. However, the Japanese government closed borders to new entries of foreign nationals, including business travelers, for a month, as fears of the new omicron variant of the coronavirus grew. We all pray that the world will overcome this pandemic.

	Meanwhile, Tokyo is getting ready for Christmas and the New Year. Streets are brilliantly lit up with colorful decorations and glorious illuminations. We all hope to welcome you soon to our safe, bright, and charming city.

	Telepresence Avatar Robots Enriching Remote Experience

	A unique demonstration of utilizing new and exciting telepresence avatar robots was presented during the first hybrid UIA Associations Round Table Asia-Pacific in Tokyo. The overseas speakers, who joined as avatar robots from Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, and Switzerland, were thrilled to experience the entirely new way of communication with onsite participants.
